8 - 10 months are enough for CAT preparation. There is no right time to start preparation of CAT. You can start anytime if you can save time for CAT preparation apart from usual studies. CAT exam needs practice, so you have to give at least 2-3 hours a day. You can join coaching for CAT preparation.
