I am in standard 10th Maharashtra board. I want to make career in fashion designing. How should I start?

I want to make career in fashion designing. Can I begin the course after 10th or will I have to complete my HSC. If I will have to complete HSC which stream should I select? Please suggest me the steps. Also suggest me approved institutes & their cut off percentage

Hello Divya....its always an added advantage to know what you want to do in advance. You like fashion designing (FD) that is a good choice. There are lot of good institutes/colleges in Mumbai, Pune & Delhi. But most of them offer after 12th(HSC or equivalent). I suggest you take admission in 11th

since you are in class 10...it is the time you start preparing for DESIGN entrance exams organised by many well known institutes like NIFT,NID,PEARLS etc., you may join coaching classes or go through distance education,go through fashion magazines to be updated and cultivate your designing skills as
