I am interested in B.Sc IT. Is it a right decision? If yes, what should I do?

In an academic context, IT or software degrees such B.Tech CS or IT/ BCA/B.Sc IT or CS are undergraduate degree programs that prepare students to meet the computer technology needs of business, government, healthcare, schools, and other kinds of organizations . BCA & B.Sc IT are job oriented degree course and you can go for job immediately after B.Sc IT & BCA in Small and Medium size IT companies. Unfortunately Indian IT industry does not prefer BCA for entry level Developer and Testers role. B.Sc IT or BCA graduates may get junior developer or Application support jobs. Syllabus of BCA and B.Sc IT is similar up to 80 to 90% in various universities. Courses on Computer languages, data structure, databases, and networking etc are common. BCA degree course program is primarily focused on in the field of Computer Applications, whereas B.Sc IT degree program primarily focused on subjects with more mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. Market acceptance of BCA is little more in comparison to B.Sc IT. Both degrees can only help you to get only entry level jobs and will require acquisition of PG degrees such as MCA and M.Sc IT for a meaningful career.
