I am interested in MBA but most of the colleges in India are offering PGDM in addition to MBA. What is the major difference between them?

I can understand your dilemma because one year ago I was in the same confusion.
On the basis of my observation, MBA is a degree in management and PGDM is Diploma. MBA is more of a theory but PGDM is practical training for the same. You can choose any of them if yoy are looking career in cor

PGDM is because when an institute is an autonomous body (not affiliated to any university) and conducts management courses, then such Institutes cannot offer MBA degree. Even IIMs, XLRIs doesn't offer MBA degrees. PGDM course is equivalent to an MBA degree.

Do not run behind the 100% placements and 7.2 lacs package before knowing the harsh trick of the average colleges. Make a healthy score card to case only few tier I of MAT and also give CMAT. Try to avoid current students view as being a part of system they hardly can make the real picture for you.
