I am interested in teaching English and have 27 years of experience teaching as a tuition teacher, how to qualify English teacher?

Hello sir I am pleased to have connected with you. There are two options in school teaching, Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post-graduate Teacher (PGT). TGT means a teacher teaching from classes 6 to 10. PGT usually teaches classes 11 and 12. There is also PRT (primary teacher) who teaches till class 5. Now, for TGT you need English Hons and B.Ed. For PGT you need English Hons plus M.A. In English and B.Ed. It is not necessary that if you have M.A. You will only be offered PGT. In the beginning, you may be offered TGT, even if you are overqualified.
