I am just pass my 12 exam and i want to become a news reporter i am a maths student can i make my carrier in this field

For making a career in this field you need to study mass communication, Journalism. You can opt for these subjects in college if you are sure that this is what you want to become.

Hi Amit, In order to become a News Reporter, one should pursue a Journalism course. Education Qualification: -Pass in Senior Secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent recognized examination in any stream. Who is eligible to apply: -The candidates after their 12th class can opt for Bachelors in Journalism or Mass Communication course to become eligible to seek their career as a news reporter.-The candidates with diploma in Journalism are also eligible to become news reporters. -The candidates after their degree can do their post graduation in Mass Communication or Journalism which provides much better opportunities. -Courses in Journalism are offered in English, Hindi and regional languages. Course Curriculum: -In these courses,candidates are given thorough knowledge in different writing styles in reporting- news, features, reviews etc. -General knowledge is also imparted on paragraphing, writing an introduction for a lead story or an anchor, script writing for radio or television. -After this the students are required to undergo an internship with a newspaper or television house to have firsthand knowledge of real reporting scenes. -After completing the required course, and getting trained practically, a candidate can join either of the following: * Join a newspaper house * Join a news agency * Joining a Government sector in Indian Information Service or different State Government Information Services Skills required: -Good general knowledge -Keen observation, inquisitive temperament -Good perception and interest in details -Clear and logical -A style of writing that is accurate, readable and informed -Interest in current affairs -Creative -Ability to sift relevant facts from the irrelevant Ladder of hierarchy for a journalist/reporter: -Trainee -Staff Reporter Correspondent -Principal reporter/ Senior Reporter/ Correspondent -Chief Reporter/ Special Representative Found this useful?Click thumbs up or mark it as best?
