There are around 120 seats offered for BA LLB and 81 seats for LLM programme at the NLU Delhi. The BA LLB seats are further divided into 110 seats filled through AILET merit and 10 additional seats for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates. For LLM, 70 seats are filled through AILET, with the remaining 11 seats reserved for various categories, including Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO.

In AILET 2025, around 19,830 candidates registered for the BA LLB entrance test and 2648 students registered to appear for LLM programme entrance test. However, in AILET 2024, total 18,044 candidates registered for the BA LLB entrance test. The number of AILET 2024 LLM candidate was 1,866.

The scheduled date for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 was Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. For admission to its undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, the National Law University in Delhi administers this test.The 2025 AILET was conducted offline, using pen and paper, in a number of Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and others. 

There are three sections and 150 multiple-choice questions on the test:

English language: 50 questions
General knowledge and current affairs: 30
Reasoning: 70 questions
