I agree that B.Tech will be done by most of the students. Actually, I am also doing the same but if you want to do IAS then you just have to go for B.Sc because it will give you more time to prepare for IAS.

IAS is not an easy examination. It's not mandatory that you will be able to crack it. You need to opt for a very good course in UG as a backup option. As per me, B.Tech and B.Sc are the best choices.

If you want to go for IAS, I would suggest you to pursue B.Sc in your favorite subject.

If you have decided to become an IAS officer then go for BA, because BA contains subjects related to history and constitution which will help you for IAS preparation.

Usually, a science degree holder could easily crack IAS exam with the arts related additional subject. So you should prefer B.Tech then you have to prepare well for the IAS or IPS or any such administrative exam. It also depends upon you.

If your aim is IAS then do the following things:
Take up admission in BA of subjects you like.
Take up a foundation course for IAS and give exams and interviews as much as you can.
The subjects from BA will help you to crack IAS exams.

B.Tech has better scope and will fetch you a better job as compared to B.Sc or BA. Further M.Tech will enhance your career profile and fetch you very good jobs. You can choose any stream for IAS preparation but since you had maths in 12th, it will help you in cracking logistic aptitude questions.
