I am physics graduate and wrkng in GIS field.What are the benefits of doing PG diploma in geoinformatics & its scope?

I want to know about the scope for geoinformatics and right now i am working at NAVTEQ India Ltd.Please suggest me the institutes for it and what upgrade it may make ?
