I am planning for Ph.D. at LPU, Is it right?

Hi Pragati, both Full Time & Part time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part Time programme, applicants are required to submit an NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for Ph.D. programme. Duration of Ph.D. programme will be Minimum 3 Years & Maximum 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students). LPU offers flexible course work in three different options and tentative schedule is mentioned below: Option I Duration - One semester - August to November 2021 - Saturdays 03:00 P. M. - 05:00 P. M. Sundays 09:00 A. M. - 04:00 P. M. Option II Duration - 4 days* every month (*preferably every second week (Thursday-Sunday) September to December 2021- 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) Option III Duration - 15 days - November to December 2021 - 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) For Full Time Ph.D. students : After presenting a State-Of-the-Art (SOTA) seminar, there is a fair chance for the students to pursue teaching assistantship in LPU only. Though the selection completely depends upon the selection committee & requirement. There are huge scholarship opportunities for the Ph.D. students 1) Upto 90% for Full Time and 70% for Part Time on the basis of LPU NEST cut off 2) Scholarship of up to 90% of the Programme fee is offered in Ph.D. programmes on the basis of GATE/ GPAT/ SPM/ JRF/ NET (LS)/ affiliations and/ or research outcomes. For example candidates from Centrally Funded Research Labs/ Industry Professionals/ Teaching Fraternity etc. Are considered for various Scholarship.

LPU is one of the most renowned educator in the country, that's why it attracts more than 30000 students and 600 companies from all over the country and 70 different nationalities! Ph.D. Programme at LPU is offered in large number of disciplines in both full time as well as part time mode. The biggest plus points are: You don't have to put your time and effort to find the guides, there are large number of research professionals in university, you can choose among them as per availability and compatibility of your research areas. The regular class schedules are offered in different flexible options for part time students, you can choose your schedule. Your guide will help you out in every which way possible in research.
