I am preparing for GATE. If I qualify it, I will go for M.Tech, can I still choose teaching (Maths) as a career option?
I'm studying in the 4th year of mechanical engineering.

Yes, you can surely opt for teaching Maths as a career. However, with a B.Tech/M.Tech degree, you can't teach Maths to post-secondary (after class 12th) students. In order to do so, you have to pursue M.Sc. In mathematics or you can even go for Ph.D. and end up being a professor teaching engineering undergrads. There's one more option, you can go for tutoring in private coaching classes as they don't really care about your degree if you are well versed in your discipline.
