i am presently pursuing engineering in ece but i would like to change my field to physics atomic hysics to be specific can anyone guide me abt pro's and cons i have already given my gre have quant of 800 and verb of 430 still awaiting my toefel scores

U can surely go For MS in ur desired field and there is no diadvantage in optng for it but be sure that u chose a good university to go for the course.
I have heard for Masters in Physics , Finland and germany are best.
