8 years agoYou should opt for microbiology as specific one as in the hospitals, diagnostic labs and different institutes where microbes related work is going on. They ask for specialization in microbiology. This field has large scope.
Biotechnology on the other hand is considered as a vast field. It covers all areas including microbio. But it is like "Jack of all, Master of none". -
Both micro and biotechnology are deep biology. Biotechnology is more research based. Whereas, microbiology is also research based but there is one difference that microbiology students can easily get a job in comparison to Biotechnology students.
If you have resources, then only opt for biotechnology else, you can pursue Masters in microbiology. -
Hi, If you have completed B.Sc. In biotechnology then M.Sc. In Biotechnology would be a better choice. Since, it will add more weightage to your specialisation.

Biotechnology is better and if you are doing B.Sc in biotechnology, you should do same in your M.Sc. It will be easier in M.Sc.

M.Sc biotechnology is suitable as you are pursuing B.Sc biotechnology.
