I am pursuing BBA from MIT Pune & want to do MBA from a top IIM. Which entrance exam do I need to prepare for and write for it?

You are advised to plan for cracking CAT examination. You may take coaching to crack CAT.

Can my friend appear for CAT exam? He scored 55 percent marks in class 12th.

You can join any good coaching center or if you can prepare yourself, then do that. You can try to solve mock test as much as possible.

Yes, he can. You need to score a minimum of 50 percent marks in graduation to appear for CAT exam. Class 12th marks are not needed.

You need to appear for CAT and score 95 percentile and above to stand a chance to get into premier institutions like IIMS. Moreover, these institutions consider your scores from class 12th.
