I am pursuing honors in English (third year). Can you suggest some good universities for MA English?

    Hello Vaishali, Its indeed heartening to know your intention to pursue post graduation in English. Its a very good subject to study. But why go far off if your college is offering M.A. Then do it there itself. Punjab University itself has a very good reputation in academic circles.

    I would suggest Presidency University in Calcutta for M.A in English. It is really a good university and you can definitely get good career out of it.

    Jadavpur University is pretty good for Masters in English and so is Presidency University in Calcutta.

    If you are planning to go for M.A. English after your graduation, then you have to meet following eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for M.A. English Course includes:
    -Any Graduation from a recognised university
    -Minimum 50 to 60 percent marks in Graduation
    -English as one of the mandatory subject at graduation level. -Admission to the course is based on the merit obtained by the candidate at the level of graduation. -A few colleges conduct their own entrance examinations followed by rounds of group discussion and personal interview.
