Hello Priya,
You can appear for NET exam only after clearing the post-graduation degree. The NET exam is the national level exam which is conducted for the determination of candidates for assistant professor and junior research fellowships. The eligibility for the NET Exam is as follows:
Educational Qualification: The Candidates must have post-graduation degree with minimum 55% marks from recognized university in relevant subject. Age criteria: The maximum age criteria for the junior research fellowship is 30 years while there is no age limit for assistant professor. -

UGC NET 2018 Eligibility
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc.). From a UGC recognised college/university fulfil UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. It may be noted minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories is 50%.
