i am pursuing mechanical engg in mumbai and want to do MBA..Which field is suitable for me in MBA?and wer shld i pusue it..mum or abroad??

Hi, Most of the students from engineering background opt for either finance or operations as their specialization in MBA. However, before opting for any specialization you must first decide in which field you wish to build your career and accordingly you can opt for the best specialization that can further enhance your career prospects. As per your profile I would suggest you to work for 1-2 years after completing your engineering and then opt for further studies.The advantage of this step would be: - You will gain relevant work experience. - After working you will know which course to pursue that can further enhance your career prospects, i.e. if you wish to build your career in technical field, then you may pursue masters in same or related fields, whereas if you are interested in management then you may pursue MBA. - The other advantage of work experience would be that during admission in MBA, you will have advantage over candidates with no work experience. Please remember in order to pursue MBA from good universities abroad, you need to have atleast 2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation. Feel free to discuss more. Mumbai you have many leading business schools from India, its better you pursue MBA programme under Mumbai University which is well known university
