I am pursuing MS in Software Engineering from BITS Pilani(distant, work integerated program). Am I eligible to become a lecturer after MS.

The eligibility for UGC-NET exam is master degree(AICTE approved). I read it on various posts that MS is not approved by AICTE. If it is true how we can become lecturer for govt engineering college. One more doubt sir, the eligibility says that we must get >=55%(General category) in masters degree,
