I am pursuing Ph.D from IIT-Roorkee in polymer department. Will there be any problem in my academics due to the change in my branch?

I have done my B.Tech in chemical engineering and M.Tech in pulp and paper from IIT-Roorkee.

I doubt there should be any problem if you are pursuing a different subject in your PhD or M.tech. The most you can do is concentrate on your current studies and make sure you perform well in the current course.
