Brand of IIT-Kharagpur is really high but consider that you have to study that subject for 4 years. If you are interested in some other thing then you can try out online courses as well and build your profile. In IITs, the job's profile generally demands extra skills other than your GPA. These skills can be developed by doing internships and online courses.

Go for instrumentation engineering at IIT Kharagpur. I don't know about this branch much but my sister who did instrumentation engineering from SRM, got a job at Infosys and is working as a senior consultant now. She got placed in the college only. Therefore, I think instrumentation will be the better choice. Secondly, in IITs, you will get like-minded people, better infrastructure, big tech fest & cultural programme, active clubs, giant companies for placements, etc.
