I am studying B.Tech in a private autonomous engineering college. Can I take TC from my college? Can I join any NIT or IIIT?

Yes you can surely drop from your college if you wish but it must not be too late in the course duration. You can continue your present study and attempt JEE to get admission in NIT or IIIT. Also you can continue your present study and prepare for GATE and then move to NIT or IIT for M.Tech.
