I am very interested in computer programming. I have learnt C , C+ programming basics. What should I do next to become a good programmer ?

I have finished my 12th std(2013) with 95% .Now ,I have joined B.Tech Chemical in SVCE ,Chennai .But ,I also eagerly want to pursue my programming interest and to develop my programming skills side by side .So ,tell me a way that would help me without interfereing with my engineering studies .
