I am working in Mumbai, want to do LL.M business law, attending college is not possible. Do you have any distance or online LL.M coaching?

Well, of course there are courses for the same. However, an LLM through Distance mode is not recognized by the Bar Council of India. So, it would only fetch you a degree solely.

Hi Shubhra, BCI has clearly put forth that any LL.M through correspondence will not be considered as a qualification for appointment to teach law students. However, for other purposes: The most popular LLM by distance learning or correspondence is the 2-year LLM programme offered by Kurukshetra University in Haryana. However, I must say that a distance LLM is not a great idea for anyone who can commit himself to study for one year as Indias most premier law schools and universities have started 1-year LLM programmes which are full-time, classroom programmes and mostly residential. LLM by correspondence has more a decorative value and it should be chosen only by those working and settled professionals who just want to add a masters degree to their profile or those government employees who may get an increment or better opportunity on the basis of a master's degree. For this purpose, MBL of NLSIU Bangalore could be even preferred though it is not an LLM programme. For anyone who wants to earn a genuine LL.M degree for enhancing his knowledge, skills and expertise or to consider law teaching or research as a career, should go only for a full-time, residential 1-year LLM program. LL.M by distance learning has specifically been prohibited by the Bar Council of India for being considered for appointment of law professors in the universities or law colleges. A distance LL.M doesn't entitle a person for taking up full-time teaching in law in any recognised law college.
