Placement have no relationship with the years you drop, but with the skills you have. They want most skilled and hardworking employers for today, no matter what was your history. -

8 years agono you should complete your degree first than you can get placement -
You can try to clear IIT in 1 year, if not then go for NIT in that year. 2 years is not a right choice.
