    This is a very good thing that you learn by understanding but if organic chemistry is hard for you then don't worry we have a solution.
    First of all, practice the molecular formula and chain reaction by writing them as much as possible.
    This will help you to remember all those things.
    Now let's talk about the understanding if you are not able to understand then take the help of internet and find the video tutorials.

    Practice more of chain reactions, be clear about the basic topics like nomenclature isomers, etc., and try to assume chemical reactions by drawing the same on the notebook. Don't try to mug up anything.
