You can directly take admission in the 2nd year engineering mechanical it is 100% possible if you want I can suggest you many best reputed engineering colleges in Bangalore:- 1) Atria institute of technology. 2) Reva university. 3) R.V college of engineering. 4) PES University. 5) Nitte Meenakshi In

You can try by then IIT does not offer admission to Diploma holders if you are in the 1st year of engineering, chances are more so I prefer these colleges for direct admission in the 2nd year.
