I completed Diploma in 1990. Are there any restrictions if I want to admit to lateral entry B.Tech now?
Someone from HRD told me that a gap must within 15-years which for me is a bit on the higher side & lateral entry B.Tech should not be an option for me. Only regular B.Tech is possible for me. Are there any new rules amended by India on the same?

Generally, there are no restrictions at all but it depends on a particular college or it depends on you only that what you have done after completing the job. If you were working after that, it means you have a work experience so the college will not get affected by it. But you can't get lateral entry due to time gap. If you have dropped 2-3 years, you may get a lateral entry but in this case, you can't get admission via lateral entry. You can take admission to B.Tech in any branch provided you have all therequired documents.
