I completed my diploma in mechanical engineering. Now, I am confused for own future study

The two specializations are quite different from each other. Mechanical Engineering deals with building physical systems. AI on the other hand, builds systems reliant on codes. AI offers faster growth and high paying salaries. Mechanical Engineering also offers good salaries but it is more stable.
