West Bengal has a few government colleges which act as B.Ed Sanskrit college. Some of the colleges that offer this programme include the following; Tagore Institute of Art & Education, Heritage College of Education and Krishnapur Teachers' Training Institute. The National Council for Teacher Education mentions a total of 29 B.Ed Sanskrit Colleges in West Bengal. These colleges provide B.Ed course for two years in Sanskrit, The total intake capacity of theses colleges is about 1,500-2000. The admission process involves a common entrance test normally at the state level and then counseling for allotment of seat.
