Rather than job prospects, you should concentrate more on where your interest and aptitude lie. Mass Comm is a professional course and will prepare you for a career in Mass Media and Journalism. Is this something that you foresee yourself doing in future? On the other hand, MA in English will pave way for a career in academics, creative writing, editing etc. Does this interest you?

If u r more of a high spirited persoon, then go for mass comm.
if u r interested in teaching or further phd ,then go for MA.
but the first thing that will matter is ur own interest.
    good luck
