I'd like to continue my studies abroad (US) by taking political science. What should I do?
I will be finishing class 12 (arts stream) on Feb 2018.

To study in USA, you must take the SAT and TOEFL, so prepare for the same. You must focus on improving your overall profile vey importantly because American universities don't just look at the percentage.Take part in extracurricular activities, if our want to study political science and

It's the right time, starting your research after 12th will only delay the process. Remember that. Start the application process one year before the intakes, that is if you are applying this year you can start your classes next year, that's the process.
