I did Diploma in mechanical. Am I eligible to pursue aeronautical engineering?
Is aeronautical engineering better than mechanical engineering?
-
Yes, you are eligible for aeronautical engineering. However, you have to do it through a good engineering college otherwise it's of no use. No, you can't say aeronautical engineering is good then mechanical engineering unless you do it from a reputed college. Moreover, government college for aeronautical engineering is too less.

Hi,
BE Aeronautical Engineering is a 4-year Under Graduate (UG) course with a specialization in the field of aviation and aerodynamics. The minimum eligibility criterion which most of the institutes ask for is a score of at least 60% to 70% (relaxable for reserved category candidates) at 10+2 or equivalent level. -

6 years agoYes, you can do aeronautical engineering after completing your Diploma in mechanical engineering but think wisely because you have studied mechanical engineering for 3 years and now you want to get into aeronautical engineering the subject you are completely unaware of. It would be difficult to get adjusted for the new subjects but if you have passion for aeronautical engineering then go for it. First you need to pass all the subjects in Diploma and later on give a common entrance test, get a good rank. While doing option entry apply for aeronautical engineering or get into aeronautical engineering through management quota. -
