    It depends on what you want to do in your career. If you want to do scientific research, Ph.D is a must. If you want to work in a company or handle an engineering project, both Ph.D and Master's degree are influential. If your work is related to research and development, Ph.D is better since it equips your mind with skills to do scientific research. That being said, a Master's degree is also accompanied by research, but the intensity of research is definitely a lot more in a Ph.D.
