Yes, NTT which stands for Nursery Teacher Training is equivalent to the D.Ed which stands for Diploma in Elementary Education both are the same. It is compulsory to have a Diploma or degree in teacher education in order to be eligible for CTET. Along with that, the candidates must also have passed their senior secondary or graduation as specified.

You can start preparing in the second year of D.El.Ed. itself!

You already study pedagogy, child development, and subject methods during the course, which are the core parts of CTET/TET. Preparing side-by-side will make your concepts stronger, and you'll save time after finishing the diploma.

There are many CTET guides, mock tests, and online classes available even free YouTube channels. You can find it on shiksha.com also.

The mock tests curated by CBSE, Central Board of Secondary Education for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Examination is available on the official website however they can not be downloaded.

Apart from these, there are many platforms and institutes who curate the mock tests for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) candidates can enroll themselves and practice from those . Shiksha also has their own curated mock test for CTET, candidates can easily get access to those.

To know more about Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) refer to the official website.

No, you can pay the CTET application fee online only through credit card/ debit card/ internet banking/ UPI. The CTET fee submitted by any other mode like Challan, money order, demand draft, IPO, etc. Will be rejected.

If you want to teach in a government school then yes you'll need to clear the following exams:

  • CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)
  • State TET (like UPTET, HTET, BTET, etc.)

But if you are planning to work in private schools, preschools or even in tuition centers then PTT is enough to get you started. Many people also gain experience and then appear for CTET later.
