I don't have maths in +2 but want to go in computer field. I will opt for B.Com in computer application then MCA. Am I going right?

Hi Himanshu, You can give an additional exam for maths, before heading on for your graduation (but for that, you may have to drop for 6 months or even a year, as you didn't had maths previously), so that it can be added up to your grade card and could open up the fields asking for maths. After that, you can proceed for BCA, and then MCA. If you had a commerce background, then you can pursue for B.Com. IT, but you will have to do additional courses like Programming languages(C, C+), DS, Networking, etc. which are among major subjects of BCA, and becomes a base for doing MCA. But you know yourself better. So if you think that you are capable enough to cover up that basic knowledge with double hard work in MCA, you may proceed with your own plan. Because, even B.Com. IT provides you with subjects of computers like C programming language, DS, CAD, DBMS, Basics of Computer Applications, etc., which are a part of BCA (but will only cover a basic knowledge about the subjects and not deep study as the BCA offers).

If you want to be a software engineer then BCA MCA is recommended path because of your Commerce background.
