I filled General in JEE application form. Can I change it to EWS in counselling if I have valid documents?

    Yes, you can apply for EWS in April session or counseling but make sure that you have the caste Certificate as a proof. You can appear in JEE Mains as EWS category candidate. And during counselling, you won't be able to get a seat through EWS if you don't change it in April session. In that case your generalized rank will be considered. Now, once you change your category in April session, you will have to score better than January session as according to the guidelines, if a candidate appears in both the sessions, than best of two will be considered, which means if your January session scores are higher than that score will be consider
