    If you have any other alternative like any state exam then try for that. You can direct admission in good private colleges. Or you can drop a year.

    Well, you will not get a good college, you will only get average colleges with quite fewer placement. Therefore, I would suggest preparing for JEE again and get the top engineering colleges. The truth of average colleges, you will get nothing, you will hate yourself for taking that decision.
