You should opt for branch according to your interest if you're into coding and programming languages and want to know how it is done go for CSE if you like mechanics and mechanical aspects of engineering go for mechanical placements in CSE is higher at start though with time every one catch up. All the best.

See branches should not be chosen according to marks obtained. You should put focus on choosing branch according to your interests and not your marks. Do you like mechanical branch more or CS that is the question. Choose one and apply accordingly. Hope that you understand it. Do upvote if you like the answer.

You should opt as per your interest but CS is a good option in ABES.
