I got 340 in 12th stnd. In West bengal board. 96 in jee main 2016. Where should I apply between I IT and NIT?

If you belong to SC-ST, then you'll surely get a NIT. If you belong to OBC, then also you have a good chance of getting into a NIT. But if you're a General, you wont get. And no one gets into IIT just by giving JEE Mains. To get into a IIT, you have to score well in JEE Advance.
