    The general eligibility requirements for most candidates who wish to appear for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) as teachers at the primary and upper primary levels are :-

    Primary Level (Class I-V):
    Educational Qualification:
    Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), or
    Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program.
    Upper Primary Level (Class VI-VIII) :-
    Educational Qualification:
    Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma
