i got 50% marks in my 12th board 2011 in science stream i want to do engineering.Is it a right choice for me give some guidelines

i think it is a not a good choice to choose engineering with marks less than 60%. At the time of placement u follow trouble because companies want 60% in 10th & +2. so better u first improve ur score then apply for engineering.
