I got 52% in 12th boards. Should I drop one year for JEE Mains 2019 or go for B.Sc?

As for my perspective, you should go for B.Sc or B.Tech in private college, because your class 12th percentage are not good.

No, you should not do that, because NITs and IITs won't give admission if your score in boards is less than 75%. Also, if you go for private colleges then there are less colleges which will give admission for such low scores.

Hello, I can understand your angst. If you are liking automobile engineering then during the year now start preparing for entrance exam. One year lost in preparation is well spent.

The new CBSE 2026 exam format is considered beneficial for students. It aims to reduce the stress of students by allowing them to appear in two board exams. It reduces rote memorisation and focuses on competency based questions. 

CBSE rarely fails any students who are just one or two marks short of passing. The board employs a grace mark policy. They adjust the marks of students to help them pass the exam.
