The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a standardized computer-based test for admission to various technical undergraduate programs in engineering. The JEE Main exam is usually conducted in two sessions, so there is the possibility of a difference in the difficulty level of the questions. To overcome this issue, normalization of marks is done, which is a comparative score. The JEE percentile score is calculated based on how an applicant has performed compared to all other applicants who appeared for the exam. Based on an analysis of previous year's scores, your JEE percentile for 56 marks could be estimated at around 84 or 85.
