They can appear for LPU NEST the entrance cum Scholarship Exam of LPU and appear for the proctored test sitting at home. You may get a huge scholarship as well. If you think you love technology, then the college doesn't matter, take admission in some good private college or colleges such as IPU and then do start coding. No one can stop you in getting a good package at the end of your 4th year.

To get into good colleges, you need to score minimum 80 percentile in your JEE Mains. In my opinion, you should try for JEE once again.

86 is a very good percentage. And, if your interest is in technology, then you should do B.Tech from CS or IT branch. IIT's just tags. If you have skills then certain private colleges are also good enough in my consideration.

3 years agoI will suggest you to try private colleges though some lack basic infrastructure and quality education but you can always cover your whole syllabus with good faculty from the youtube channel of iitm-nptel or do courses from swayam portal by IIT Madras. I am suggesting you so because it's not possible to get NIT or IIT or IIIt until you have some reservation quota or you are from north east. -
If you have 60% marks in PCM (subject), then you can apply for almost all the college in India for BE or B.Tech or for any technical degree except government top Institute. I can't suggest you any college, because that should be your decision. But, I can give you one advice that take help of our Shiksha. Com website and find the students of that college on Facebook and ask them about the college condition. Request them to help, do a correct decision.
