I got 6.2 CGPA in 10th, 74% in 12th and 54.5% in B.Com (H). What min. score is needed in CAT for a good MBA college?

One needs to have scored minimum 90 percentile to get admission into a good MBA college. For admissions into IIMs one needs to have scored 99 percentile. One should try and seek admission among the top 50 MBA institutes. -

Quants is a subject that would ask you for your patience and hardwork. The only and the best way to prepare is to practice as much as you can. Try solving past papers and also give number of online mock test. Google out shortcuts for certain chapters. I would say along with hard work you would need to work smartly. Try figuring out which chapters has the highest weightage and focus more on the same and practice more sums. Practicing more and more would not only help you increase your speed but also would help you to boost your confidence along with it. 5-10% weightage is from your previous education. Do well in CAT and score above 92 percentile.
