I got 61% in class 12th from RBSE board. Should I drop an year to prepare for JEE or repeat 12th again to get into NIT?

Hi Anand, You can sit for the improvement exams. According to the latest notification by CBSE , student needs to have minimum 75% in class 12th or he/she needs to be in the top 20 percentile of there respective boards to appear for JEE Mains 2017 and from 2017 no 40% weightage will be given to 12th
