I got 73% marks in 12th and 40 in JEE. Can I get admission in LPU for B.Tech?

Dear Ashutosh, Yes, you can get admission to the B.Tech programme at LPU. But you have to qualify for the LPU NEST exam also as for JEE Mains they consider a minimum of 85 percentile. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA till now. At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme, so qualifying the same you can proceed for Admissions. LPU conducts LPU NEST for most of the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in LPU. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPU NEST serves both the purposes. Also, if you have qualified LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, you can also improve your score for Scholarship purpose as well. For qualifying the LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, around 40% marks are required but for Scholarship purpose, cut-offs are required to be qualified for LPU NEST. So, qualifying the same, you can proceed for Admissions. Admissions in LPU have started for most of the programmes. During the regular schedule of counselling, only merit in LPU NEST 2020 will be considered, subject to eligibility criteria. Now looking towards your 12th percentage you MET one condition but not another which says LPU NEST or JEE Mains with good eligible score is required.
