I got 83 marks in JEE Mains, 1141 (95.08%) in class 12th and 192 as my engineering cut off. Can I get a seat at NIT?

    Selection cut offs varies every year. So it is unpredictable . But you have fair chances of getting selected . All the best

    First of all congratulations on your 12th class marks because it shows that you are a bright student at the same time it also reflects your hardwork and the concern is on your mains marks is lower than the cut off so getting into good nit is quite troublesome but on the basis of your 12th marks you can go to any good engineering colleges.best of luck

    You will get admission in nit by JEE marks only not through your board marks.

    Chances are good. NIT, Trichy has been ranked number one among the NITs for a while now, whereas, NIT-Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar.
    The faculty of both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors. Coming to the placements. In 2017 NIT, Surathkal saw a placement of 100% for the CSE department while NIT Trichy also had 100% placement for 2017. According
