I got 94.7 percentile in JEE Mains final attempt. Can I get the admission in computer science branch in NIT-RKL?

    Student must score in the top 99th percentile to qualify into the computer science branch. It's just a straightforward mathematical computation here. 1 percentile indicates that 1 percent of the students scored higher than you. A percentile of 99 indicates that, out of the 10 lakh students who took the JEE Mains exam, about 10000 students scored higher than you. If we add up all the seats in all the NITs for this branch, there aren't as many left.

    Hello Ritu Choudhary, to get computer science branch student needs to have a percentile of above 99. This is just a simple mathematical calculation. 1 percentile means 1% of the students have scored above you. If if 10 lakh students have appeared for JEE Mains examination then getting a percentile of 99 means that one percent of 10 lakh that is about 10000 students are above you. Now there are not so many seats if we put all the seats together in all the NITs for this branch. However this is simple logic but in practice it doesn't work this way and hence some students with even low percentile but of course having scored above the cutof
