I got 98 percentile in Mains 2019, can I get NIT, Warangal for mechanical branch?

Congrats! You can get into mechanical branch if your AIR lies between 6000 to 7500. After 1st year you will have a chance of branch slide based on your 1st year score. You should at least get 9 CGPA in your first year. I got chemical engineering branch through counseling and after first year I changed to mechanical with a CGPA of 9.03. A friend of mine got 8.89 and got slide from biotechnology to mechanical. Hope it helps. Good luck.

Yes, you may get NIT Warangal as in the previous years, the intake for general category (other states) students ended at 7416 rank. So, seeing your percentile you do have a fair chance.
